Meet Dr. Jennifer Cornell, a Leader in the Field

Dr. Jennifer Cornell is a highly trained and experienced dentist in the field of Dental Sleep Medicine. She completed her training under Dr. Steven Greenman, who operates a private educational program that focuses on training dentists in the field of oral appliance therapy. Dr. Greenman himself was trained by Dr. Glenn Clark, a founding figure in the field of Oral Appliance therapy for Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Dr. Cornell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and has completed over 300 hours of continuing education in this rapidly growing and evolving field. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve better sleep through the use of oral appliance therapy and has spent numerous hours observing in sleep labs and working with sleep physicians.

In addition to her training in Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Cornell is a graduate of Montgomery Central High School and Austin Peay State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Radiologic Technology. She went on to complete a certificate program in Nuclear Medicine Technology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and earned her dental degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in 2005.

Dr. Cornell is also trained in the Healthy Start program, which focuses on addressing airway issues in children. She is excited to be a resource for pediatric airway development and to help children get the quality of sleep they need for healthy brain development.

As a member of various professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Cornell is committed to staying up-to-date on the latest developments in her field. She is also an active member of the American Association of Women Dentists and has served as the National President in 2012.

When she’s not helping her patients, Dr. Cornell is a wife, mother, yogi, and enjoys a good round of golf. She is dedicated to giving back to her community and volunteers regularly at the Good Samaritan Clinic in Clarksville.
